Exciting Kale

Kale Nero Di Toscana turns out to be exciting vegetable No 37 in the top 75 exciting veg.

Mine has miraculously survived the ravages of whitefly and will be served up with the Sunday roast later today. Will I be able to contain my excitement?

I should try to if I were you. The excitement is all in the looks I'm afraid.

Oh, I don't know. You can get it to look like Chinese seaweed without too much effort (I'm told!)

I am growing this lovely veg too, and am so surprised at how the little beasties have stayed of it.

We've got a few white fly on one of our plants, not sure if i should harvest the lot to stop it spreading, or sacrifice the infested one.
Kale is great chopped up and stir fried with lemon juice and sesame seeds.
